You Can Do It - No Doubt

This group had some really cool music before they went straight up pop. The ska days were good, but what followed was better. Then, we hit modern No Doubt. I can't say it's bad, but it's not the best sounds they've produced, especially Steffani's newer solo stuff. What happened to tunes like this with that groovy bass line? I mean, seriously, that quick walk on the bass is groovy, and the disco sound from the drums and guitar paired with the horns and strings just make you want to dance. Plus, that muted trumpet solo breakdown, that's the cherry on top.

"You Can Do It" appeared on the group's third album, Tragic Kingdom, which hit the shelves in 1995. Half of the tracks on the album were released as single, including "Don't Speak" and "Just a Girl." "You Can Do It" didn't see a release as a single, but to get fourteen out of seven tracks out as singles is a lot. Eight out of fourteen might have caused a rip in the time-space continuum or something.
