Redneck Fiddlin' Man - Charlie Daniels

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNWgoNB_uBA]

I looked to post this song a while back, but it wasn't up on YouTube. It is now, obviously. It's such a great song about a fiddle player - I know, hard to believe a CDB song about a fiddler - and a challenge issued to him by some boys from the city. Well, he plays the rock and roll they wanna hear, and then he goes on to play several other styles, as well. The song even takes this further toward the end where the band in the recording plays several different styles, too.

The song appeared on the album of the same name. Released in 2002, the album is one of his later projects. Daniels's first album was released in 1971, and his first hit came with the song "Uneasy Rider" two years later. That began a string of hits that would lead him all the way up to 2003, a time when his live albums were making new hits out of old songs. He's still a talented an energetic performer today, especially considering that he's in his seventies.
