All I Want for Christmas Is You - Michael Bublé

December Theme: Christmastime Again

Mariah Carey originally cut this song, and it's very possibly my least favorite Christmas song of recent years. I don't care for the groove, the feel, or the beat. However, you give the same song to Bublé , and it becomes a whole new experience. It has a much more sincere feel in the style he does. It also sounds more like a Christmas song than Carey's. This whole album Bublé released last year is great if you have the chance to listen to it.

Carey wrote the song with Walter Afanasieff while recording her Christmas album in 1994. The song was inspired by her husband at the time, Tommy Mottola. The song was a #2 hit for Carey, and while Bublé may be one of the latest to cover the tune, he's far and away not the first to cover the song, and probably not the last if this tune goes the way of most Christmas classics.
