December Theme: Christmastime Again

There are a few songs from this band that are good Christmas tunes. I think I'm probably gonna let them soak up the next couple of posts. This one is a fun little play on the traditional idea of coming home for Christmas. I've seen several line dance and zumba videos using this song. There aren't a lot of Christmas tunes where you'll see that happen. Christmas music with a country swing beat is always a good thing.
The guitarist and band leader, Steve Ripley, wrote the song. It appeared on the album, Have Yourself a Tractors Christmas, which climbed to #1 on the Top Country Albums chart in 1995. While there are a few traditional tracks of the season on the album, there are plenty of originals, too. Including this song, Ripley was a writer or co-writer on four songs.
