I've never listened to Williams' group, Paramore, to be honest, but I think she's very talented and insanely cute. This is a great acoustic performance on the street with a random guitar player. It's awesome when celebrities are cool with their fans. I can't think of a better instance of that than this, just stopping to sing one of your tunes with a someone that approaches you on the street. It's a memory that will last a lifetime.
This song was the band's lead single and first tune written for the album Brand New Eyes. Its inspiration is all about having to work together as a team with people to whom you become very close. Working with a band long term forges relationships much like a family. You come to share a very special bond with people you may not always see eye-to-eye with, but you're working toward the same goal and have to learn to work past your differences or decide you have to part ways. It's much more like a romantic relationship than a family actually. At some point, you have to decide if there's more good or bad, and based off of that decision, you decide whether to stay with it or move on to something else. Williams says that sentiment is what drove her to begin writing the song. She and band member Josh Farro are credit as co-writers on the song.
