This tune was originally written for the musical, The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd. Simone recorded her version for the album I Put a Spell on You. Her version has appeared in many films and television shows, as well as promos for both mediums.
A new generation was captivated by the song when Michael Bublè covered it. While other groups and artists have recorded the song, too, including Muse and Eels, Bublè did it in the same fashion as Simone, and he added a little kick. You can catch his live version below. He's used it to open many shows, and you can see why.
