To be With You - Mr. Big

One hit wonders were very common place in the 50s, and it was a trend that resurfaced in the 80s. This band made it big with a "hair ballad", and then, they kind of vanished. I'm sure there are a few people who can name a few more of their songs, but the majority of us know this one and that's it. It's a good one to know, though. The vocals are spot on all the way through, harmonies and all, and that's some great acoustic guitar work.

The song is credited to three writers, Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert, and David Grahame. Martin, the group's vocalist and frontman, began writing the song as a teenager, and the other two came in later as the band recorded the song. It's not all that surprising that the song originated from the mind of a teenager; it contains a lot of teen angst in the lyrics.
