Sometimes you just stumble on to something that is better than what you were looking for to begin with. I was looking for LaMontagne's song "You Are the Best Thing" (which I've included in the next post), and I found this cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy". It's so funny that the style of a song can change your attitude about it. I take this song a lot more seriously this way than I did the original version. LaMontagne's soulful voice, with just the slightest gravel sounds so perfect for this style, too.
The original song was a huge hit before it was even officially released, being leaked early. The song became the best selling single of the year in the UK, topping the charts there as well. The song hit #2 in the US on the Hot 100. The list for awards goes on and on for the song. It's one that people will remember for a long time, and LaMontagne's version just helps keep that memory alive.
