Scooby Doo, Where Are You! Theme - George A. Robertson, Jr.

What could be better for Halloween than Scooby-Doo? The fake monsters that always seemed to scare the "gang" over and over again, the canned laugh-track in an animated show, Casey Kasem as Shaggy...there are lots of reasons that this was an awesome show. It still holds up today in my opinion. I just watched an episode recently, and I really enjoyed it, at least as much as when I was a kid.

The song above was re-recorded for the second season of the first incarnation of the Scooby-Doo cartoons, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! The lyrics were added during the re-recording of the song by Austin Robertson, aka Geroge A. Robertson, Jr. The song below is the original theme song, written by David Mook and Ben Raleigh, used for the seventeen episodes of season one. My favorite Scooby-Doo theme, though, is the last video in this post. It served as the theme for The New Scooby-Doo Movies, which aired starting in 1972 and featured guest stars like Don Knotts, Batman and Robin, and The Addams Family. The song was written by Hannah-Barbera composer Hoyt Curtin.
