This tune has got a good feel and groove to it, and thanks to some research on a friend's behalf, I learned that Tower of Power's horn section provided work on this tune as well. I had known for a long time that TOP lends their horn section to lots of different artists and groups, and I knew that Aerosmith was one of those groups, but I never knew what albums for sure. There may even be more instances of that specific collaboration. Regardless, all around this song is pretty good.
Aerosmith, more than a lot of bands, has evolved into a different sound entirely from their older material. I enjoy both the old and new stuff, but I favor the newer releases, honestly, Contrary to the typical way of things, Steven Tyler's voice has only gotten better with age in my opinion, and the introduction of a lot of horns into the band's music goes along way to sell me on their newer sound. I even liked "Jaded," despite the fact that most people didn't appreciate it or much of the Just Push Play album in general. I'd call it a guilty pleasure, but I don't believe in that term. You either like something or you don't.
