I Wish It Would Rain Down - Phil Collins

 [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xRxu-DfxsM]

Believing that this was the closest he would ever come to writing a blues song, Collins called in a guitarist whom he greatly admired to record the parts for the song: Eric Clapton. You see Clapton in the video above, making a joke reference about Collins's character in the video having been a drummer for a good band, obviously referencing his real life stint with Genesis. Members of Collins's actual band can be see throughout the video as well, and it's all made that much better by an appearance from Jeffery Tambor, playing the theater manager.

In this more than eight-minute, black and white, mini-movie, you'll see some dancers dancing to the main riff from one of Clapton's own songs, "Sunshine of Your Love". The bass player in the video is Leland Sklar, mentioned several times in my blog. The song was a #3 hit on the Hot 100 for Collins.
