Bop - Dan Seals

This song was one that helped me wear out the tape it was on when I was a kid. If you don't know what I mean by that, ask your parents to explain what a cassette tape is. I didn't know it at the time, but I was drawn to the sound of a horn way back then, even without really knowing it. The saxophone riff in this song is so simple, but so catchy.

Dan is the younger brother of Seals & Croft member Jim Seals. Dan got his start in pop music as part of a duo (England Dan & John Ford Coley), but branched off on his own into country music. This was his second #1 hit. Below you can find a video of a more acoustic version of the song where Dan plays the sax part.  He also has one of the song's writer, Paul Davis, perform with him.
