50 Ways to Say Goodbye - Train

I may have mentioned at some point during writing this blog that I like lists. I particularly like it when a songwriter works a long list of things into his music. This song is a good example of that, but you may still wonder what I mean. With that in mind, I've included a George Carlin clip below in which he manages to cram almost every common cliche from the last few years into one opening sequence of his stand up.

The song itself here is catchy, and I think we've all felt this way at one point or another. Pat Monahan, Espon Lind, and Amund Bjorkland are responsible for the song's conception. I, as always, am a fan of the infusion of the horns in the song. In this case it's a mariachi influenced sound with the horns and acoustic guitar. I'm assuming the trumpet is being run through some sort of effects processor that adds harmonies, since there's only one horn and several parts can be heard.
