This song was written by David Foster and Linda Thompson-Jenner. Cole and Foster released the first recording of the song, but many have come since then. Most recently, Michael Bublè released a version, and in 2003 Kelly Clarkson performed a version on the American Idol Christmas special. Clarkson's performance brought renewed interest and radio play to the song. I really like the sentiment behind the song, even if the music itself isn't my favorite. It's one of the few Christmas songs on this list that doesn't have any of the tell tale sounds of a Christmas tune.
