So, a "drum cover' is when a drummer takes a track, usually a popular version of a song people are familiar with, and plays along with the track. The drummer embellishes on the original part to show off his skills, but the trick is to do this while also staying true to the original material. That, of course, in my opinion, is the true goal of any and every cover, drum or otherwise. Rabaquino has a whole series of drum cover videos on YouTube, and I highly recommend you check some of them out. He does a great job of balancing the factors I mentioned above. You can also check out his website. I'd honestly never heard of him before, but I'm very impressed.
The song appeared on the group's album, All the Right Reasons, from 2011. Despite the fact that everyone claims to hate the band, the album is certified Platinum, EIGHT TIMES. That means that the album sold 8,000,000 copies. That's EIGHT MILLION COPIES! Is there one guy out there buying all of these albums? I doubt it. The album also produced seven singles that all performed well. There are plenty of people listening to this band, and plenty of them are just saying they don't.
