Remember When - Alan Jackson

I've spent more than one post, I'm sure, talking about how music can effect the human emotion. It's funny how one song, paired with different imagery, can make you feel differently. Through this video, I felt sadness, helplessness, hope, warmth, and even a little happy at the realizations Carl comes to later. The scenes are all from the movie Up, and if you haven't seen it, stop wasting your time on the internet and go watch it. Be prepared for the heartbreak that opens the film, though. If you can make it through that, you're in for one great journey.

About halfway through the video above, Jackson's song, which he wrote and took to #2 on the country charts and #29 on the Hot 100, repeats to fill the length of the video. It fits perfectly over the scenes above. The official music video, posted below, is a great one, too, but the one above made me think of my grandparents, and it really hit home. I hope I'm lucky enough some day to find what they had.
