Theme: Power of Love

I a firm believer that you shouldn't have to work to make love happen. When you first meet that special someone, you either both feel it, or you don't. You can't make someone fall in love with you. You can often show them you're not the person they thought you were, and they'll then fall for that person. That's different. On the other hand, you do have to work to keep a relationship together. You never know when hard times will hit, but when they do, stress will effect every aspect of your life, including your relationship. You can't just give up on it if it really means what you think it means. Life is hard, and if you have the right people in your life, the love you share will help make it easier, not harder.
Gill's song carries that message well. It was his second single from I Still Believe in You, and it hit #1 on the country charts. The video above is one of my favorites. There are plenty of stars to be seen in the video. Look closely and you'll see Little Jimmy Dickens, Bruce Hornsby, Patty Loveless, Michael McDonald, Lee Roy Parnell, Carl Perkins, Leon Russell, Leland Sklar, Pam Tillis, Kevin Welch, Kelly Wills, Kentucky Headhunters drummer Fred Young, and you might even catch Reba McEntire waiting a table or two.
