This song springs from at least two different soundtracks. It appears, mainly as background music in different scenes, in Back to the Future and Sister Act.
In BTTF, the song is playing on the jukebox as George McFly (Crispin Glover) makes his way to Lorraine to tell her that she is his "density". He is convinced to do so, in probably the most ridiculous scene in the movie, by "Darth Vader from the planet Vulcan" who appears to him the night before in his bedroom. George is so nervous he has to order a drink stronger than his usual. He has Lou serve up a chocolate milk.
During her first few days hiding out in the convent in Sister Act, Sister Mary Margaret (Whoopi Goldberg), feels the need to escape for a few minutes and sneaks across the road to a bar where we hear this on another movie jukebox. She is secretly follow by two other, real nuns. She has to lie and make up a story about meeting a man to buy a car for the convent.
It's appropriate that we hear this song on the jukebox in both films, considering this version was a big jukebox hit. The original version was considered too risque. What is odd about the appearance of this version of the song in BTTF is that it was the Georgia Gibbs' version that was popular in 1955, the point to which Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) travels back in time. Gibbs' version was even #1 on the Most Played in Juke Boxes chart that year. It's conceivable the James version would be on the jukebox for Sister Mary Margaret to play, since it's the superior version in my opinion. On the other hand, this version of the song wasn't nearly as likely to have been on the jukebox in 1955.
