I have a friend who is going through a rough time with a relationship, right now, and this song hits a personal spot for me, too. I think most of us have been at this low at one time or another. Even though it hurts, it's something you should experience at least once. If not, you're missing one of the deepest of human emotions: longing.
The song was originally recorded by Brooks & Dunn. This cover was performed at their tribute concert. I was really surprised with lead singer Gary LeVox's vocals. In other live performances I've seen of Rascal Flatts, he's sounded very nasal, like he couldn't hit the same range live as he could on the band's records. The other two members, Jay DeMarcus (piano) and Joe Don Roomey (guitar), always sound great vocally, and their exceptional musicians, too.
