Will You Love Me Tomorrow - Amy Winehouse

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ludxpkyrab0]

This song played over the closing credits of an episode of HBO's The Newsroom that I watched recently. First, if you're not watching this show, you should be. It's written by Aaron Sorkin, who also wrote Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, which was cancelled far too early in my opinion, and both of the shows are two of my favorites. Seriously, go watch it.

The song was originally written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and recorded by the Shirelles. It was the first single by an all-girl group to hit #1 in the US. The original version was a bit more uptempo, while Winehouse's take is a bit more toned down and melancholy. I like the Winehouse version a lot. To be honest, I've never listened to any of her material, but this is a great cover of a great song, and it might just turn me on to some of Winehouse's other material.
