Beddingfield's take on this tune is a pretty traditional approach to the song, until about halfway through. The change from the soft ballad feel to the big band swing section gives it something a little extra. Typically, I'm not a fan of the song versions found on the Disney Mania series; they're usually just young pop artists trying to make the Disney tune sound more radio friendly. In this case, though, I think I prefer this to the original. Some friends of mine did, too and chose it for their first dance at their wedding. When the big band section came in, the change in the sound of the tune wasn't the only surprise. The couple had been taking swing dance lessons for the occasion, and they really pulled it off.
The song was originally written for Disney's twelfth full-length animated feature, Cinderella. Written by Mack David, Al Hoffman, and Jerry Livingston, the melody of the song comes from a classical piece by Franz Liszt, The song encompasses the entire Disney ideology in my opinion, insisting that no dream is too big to come true. It's crazy to me that it took twelve movies for the company to create a song so close to its central meaning.
