Rhapsody in Blue - George Gershwin

This piece was originally written by Gershwin in 1924. It has more than stood the test of time. It's a piece that everyone learns about in school at some point and appears regularly in film and television. It's even still performed live by the world's top orchestras. Needless to say, it's a classic.

This piece did not make it into the original Fantasia, but it did make the sequel, Fantasia 2000. The film is created in the same way its predeccesor was, piecing animated segments together with classical music. The only segment to appear in both was "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". This animation is set in depression-era New York City.
