This song was written and recorded by Randy Newman for Disney's first fully computer generated film, Toy Story. Of course, this was actually the first fully computer generated movie ever. It won lots of awards and was very popular among audiences, spawning two sequels to date. The song was pretty big commercial success, and has been covered by numerous artists, including Michael Buble and Lyle Lovett.
Newman gets a lot of flack from some people regarding his voice and style. I like it a lot. I think he's got something different, and that's important in the music industry. If you're just like everybody else, it may get you famous, but it won't bring longevity to your career. The artist in this video has lots of really great music on YouTube, and I'd recommend checking him out. He has that something different, too.
