Bug Eyes - Dredg

Dredg is a Los Gatos, California based rock band. The group formed in 1993 and consists of four members. Those members are vocalist Gavin Hayes, guitarist Mark Engles, bassist Drew Roulette, and drummer/pianist Dino Campanella. That's right, a drummer who does more than just beat on things!

This song appears on the band's third album, Catch Without Arms. It's a bit of a departure from their previous work. The album in its entirety is a much straight ahead take on music. The style in the past was quite a bit different, more complicated.

The name of the band comes from the word "dredge". It means to unearth or widen a river and is also the name of the tool used for that job. Campanella claims that the band doesn't really care for the name anymore. It's a shame, because, once you've made it and gained some notoriety, a name change would be a horrible move. I guess they're stuck with it for now.
