Here's another Christmas cat who can't get much cooler. Armstrong is just about as smooth as they come. Between his trumpet talents and extremely distinct vocal sound and tone, he's probably one of the most instantly recognizable performers in the world of jazz. Most famously, he was the first artist to record "What a Wonderful World" in 1937. Many others have come since then, but no one does it quite like Satchmo, a nickname Armstrong earned or gave himself, the stories on the name's origin vary, with each being as colorful as the last. "Cool Yule" is by far one of the hippest Christmas tunes out there and has Armstrong's touch all over it.
