This live version does a pretty good job of capturing the feel and groove of the song created in the studio, but it's not quite as good. However, I'm a big fan of live music, so, this one wins a spot in my first post.
This is a classic tune originally recorded by Marvin Gaye, but it has been covered by many different artists. The song was most famously covered by James Taylor. I feel like Taylor's is my least favorite version, despite its popularity. The original is great, but Bublé bring something extra to it just like all the standards he performs.
It's a bit more up tempo than other versions, and it makes the horns a bit more prominent. If you stick horns in a song, I'm always going to be down for a listen. This one is no different. The shuffle of the rhythm section is solid and fits right in to that groove I love. It doesn't matter if you are loved by that special someone right now or not; this is just a great rendition of a great song.
