This song is one of those that kicks whatever activity you’re doing up about five notches. I don’t care if you’re knitting, boxing or changing diapers, anything can be amped up by AC/DC, particularly this song. Back in Black was one of the first CDs I ever owned, and I played it to death. This song was the first one to go from wear. I admit, it was probably scratched when not in the player in some way, but I like to think I just wore the CD out from regular use.
Every song on the album is great, but I've always been partial to this one. It’s been used in lots and lots of movies, probably most recently Iron Man 2 (for which AC/DC was pretty much the entire soundtrack) and rightfully so. If there’s a better song for an Iron Man entrance scene – I know, I know: why not "Iron Man" (Black Sabbath), but that's not as much in line with Stark's personality – I don’t’ know what it would be. So, the next time you’re driving down the road or walking to class or tackling mundane office paperwork, throw on "Shoot to Thrill" and see how it changes your experience.
