Stand by Me - Rockapella

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6R6kkZLkT-Q]

This song was originally made famous by Ben E. King, and I like his cut of the track well enough. I just wanted to have a video of this group. If you're not familiar with Rockapella, they are most famous for the theme song of the PBS game show, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? The show was on when I was a kid, and I doubt (but am not sure) that it's probably not still running today. The group also recorded commercial jingles for Mounds and Almond Joy, as well as a Foldger's Christmas ad that were both very popular and catchy.

The group is very strong vocally, and I think that they probably don't get the credit they deserve because of being a sort of non-traditional, experimental group. Their voices rage a total of five octaves. The high is really high, and the low is no "Ooom-popa Mow Mow", but it's down there. I've also included a video of the groups performance of the aforementioned theme song complete with "drum solo" by the group's vocal percussionist.
