Boom Bapa Boom - Jimmie Vaughan

The lesser known of the Vaughan brothers, Jimmie is still a talented musician. Just like most other guitar players, he pales in comparison to Stevie Ray, but he is still nothing to frown at either. By the age of eighteen, Vaughan had opened a show for The Jimi Hendrix Experience. During that show, Hendrix asked to borrow a guitar pedal from Vaughan who gladly said sure. The pedal was broken during the performance, and in place of it, Hendrix gave Jimmie his own, touring wah-wah pedal.

This song is just fun. The nonsense phrase of "boom bapa boom" fits the blues style, following in the footsteps some of the most classic blues songs. I remember the first time I heard it was as a kid. It was the closing credit songs on Major League II. I've posted another great song that appeared in the same movie series in the third film, Alabama's "Cheap Seats".
