Forever - The Beach Boys

A lot of people my age will remember this song as it was performed by Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) on Full House. It was originally performed by The Beach Boys, and here, it is performed A Capella. Stamos is good friends with the group in real life, this being how the song and the group appeared on the show at different times. Stamos also went on tour with the group as their drummer for quite some time. He is a talented performer as it turns out. I've posted the music video from the show below.

In the course of the show and subsequent release of Uncle Jesse's fame and cover of the song, his producer decides it needs something a little different. It needs to be more modern and hip. Obviously, a dance beat needs to be placed behind the song. So, a good portion of the episode sees Jesse trying to learn to dance and go along with all the changes. This kind of thing is funny on a sitcom, but it happens all too often in the real world, too. Think about how many artists hit the scene with something that sounds completely different from the material they release after they have found their footing and have the power to make their own decisions.
