I'm typically not a big fan of this style of music, but it's mainly because of all the screaming that's usually part of it. This song borders on that line, but it avoids crossing it. I really love the tight riffs and pieces that come together on these tunes. That part of the hard rock sound I like. This song definitely has it. The guitar is so tight and definite in opening riff and verses.
The song is all about rioting against all the crap that gets in your way in life, the negative aspects. It was directly inspired by lead singer Adam Gontier's stint in rehab and the anger he felt about, well, everything I imagine. Not the type of song that hits the Hot 100, the song managed to chart #12 on the Mainstream Rock charts and #21 on the Modern Rock charts.
