October Theme: Halloween & Spooky Things

I don't know if I"m actually using the same artist twice or if you count The Fresh Prince as one artist and Will Smith as another. Either way you look at it, you can't pass up this tune in a Halloween post. Freddy Kruger and the Nightmare on Elm Street series was very popular at the time of this release, and Smith really played off that popularity. The song was a huge hit for him and Jazzy Jeff, reaching #15 on the charts, but it also came with some grief for their record company.
The production company for the film franchise of A Nightmare on Elm Street sued the record company for copyright infringement and put the kibosh on a music video that had been produced for the song. While the video never saw the light of day, the two companies did settle out of court. The strangest thing about all of this to me is that the song was considered for inclusion in the fourth entry in the film franchise.
