OK, OK! Thanksgiving is finally over, and I give my seal of approval for the Christmas season to begin. With one holiday out of the way, we can begin to plan for another one. Well, some people have been planning for it for a couple months now. Shame on you! Actually, it's not the planning that's the problem; it's the celebrating too early. It's not Christmas until Thanksgiving is over, end of discussion...at least for me.
This song is a good way to kick off the season. Now that I'm actually ready for Christmas to come, I surely don't want it to be late. This is the classic version (none of that new CGI stuff here) of the Chipmunks' Christmas hit. Originally written and recorded by Ross Bagdasarian (aka: David Seville) in 1958, "Christmas Don't Be Late" took home three Grammy Awards. It was later re-recorded for Chipmunk specials in the eighties and nineties, and it became popular all over again with the recent CGI Chipmunk films.
