Jungle Love - Morris Day & The Time

 [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O3vC8tDj1M]

This is the scene from the ending of Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Their favorite band? Morris Day and The Time! I honestly only know this one song from the group, but I vow to search for more. It's a groovy little funk number, and if the groove isn't enough to keep your attention, the singalong chant, O-wee-O-wee-O, should be. Seriously, though, listen to that bass line. Sign me up for that funk.

The Time formed in Minneapolis in 1981. The group worked closely with Prince as collaborators on several projects. In fact, on the original cut of this track, Morris Day sang lead vocals, Jesse Johnson played guitar, and Prince recorded every other instrument on the cut. The song is by far their most popular, and it was introduced to a whole new generation with its inclusion in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
