For those of you who don't know, Max Weinberg is the current drummer for The E Street band (and has been for many years), and he was the drummer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien. You can see him playing here with Springsteen & The E Street Band along with Conan himself on acoustic guitar. He's one of my favorite drummers to listen to and watch. He has the ability to easily transition from rock to jazz and back, too, and he plays on a pretty simple kit, not carrying the huge mess of drums a lot of pros carry with them.
This is one of the best live performances of this song I've ever heard, and there are lots of renditions out there. Everyone from the Muppets to BB King has performed this one. Springsteen's voice is great for this style, too. It's also a fun performance. Some of the versions available on YouTube make it seem like The Boss wasn't really in the mood to do the song but felt obligated. Maybe that wasn't the case, but in this version for sure, he looks like he's having a great time.
