No Place That Far - Sara Evans

This is one of the prettiest songs about love ever written in my opinion. It was also Evans first song to be in the Top 40, and it made it all the way to #1 on the country charts. Evans was a co-writer on the song with hit makers Tom Shapiro and Tony Martin, which always helps a song come together just right, and I'm sure that the backing vocals by Vince Gill didn't hurt any, either.

"No Place" would kick off a run of hits for Evans. Prior to the release of the song and album of the same name, she had made Top 100 the country charts, but she hadn't hit the Top 40, yet, coming closest with "Three Chords and the Truth" the prior year. After "No Place" took #1, her hits "Born to Fly," "Suds in the Bucket," "A Real Fine Place to Start," and "A Little Bit Stronger" would follow to the top of the charts, too.
