I'm usually not into the whole "electronica/samples" sound, but I kind of dig this tune. Christopher Walken's appearance in the video is what really sells it, though. He makes a lot of things awesome that would otherwise not be. Walken trained in danced at the Washington Dance Studio for a time, and it comes through in this video for sure.
The vocals you hear in the song are performed by Bootsy Collins, who is known for his work with Parliament-Funkadelic, primarily. The song samples several other songs from the past, including "Into My Own Thing" by Sly and the Family Stone and "All Strung Out Over You" by The Chambers Brothers. Not heard in the video above, Collins's vocal track was originally doubled, with the normal vocal split balanced to the right and a lower-register, distorted version balanced left.
