(You're a Mean One) Mr. Grinch - Gary Hoey

Hoey is a great guitar player. He dropped out of high school to play the local club scene in Boston, and early in his career, he auditioned for Ozzy Osbourne, losing to Zakk Wylde. He has released countless instrumental albums, and his cleverly-named Ho, Ho, Hoey Christmas albums are a staple in lots of circles. I really like how he quotes "Welcome Christmas," the song sung by the Whos down in Whoville, at the 1:43 mark of the video above.

Written for the 1966 cartoon adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, this song was the Grinch's theme. Seuss himself wrote the lyrics, and Albert Hague wrote the music. The song proceeds to use more and more creative ways to describe the less-than-positive demeanor of the Grinch, stretching it out to six verses.
