She Don't Love Nobody - Desert Rose Band

I have no idea why I like this song so much. It's kind of repetitive. It's really simple. He says the title of the song in the lyrics a million times. I think it's just a connection to my childhood, nostalgia more than anything else. My dad was in a contemporary country group in the late eighties and early nineties, and I remember them performing a cover of this song. It's not an instance of me remembering it as a better song; it's exactly what I remember. It must be some kind of deep psychological connection.

It did take me forever to find this. Before the days of just going to YouTube and typing in what you wanted to see, you had to go to a store and find the album. I tried that with no luck. I was a member of a couple of record houses, too, and even ordered an album called Change from Sons of the Desert, because I had the name of the band wrong. While it had some good tracks on it, my search was still incomplete. Then, along came Napster, and my problem was solved. After looking for the song in the software's search engine, I found what I was looking for, and I patiently waited while it downloaded on my dial-up connection. It was a horribly fuzzy, poor-quality version of the song, but I was happy to have it nonetheless.
