Bulletproof - La Roux

I usually don't like anything that sounds remotely like this, but this song is really catchy. As with lots of songs that fit in electronic and its sub-genres, this song was a much bigger hit in the UK than the US. It wasn't until after a performance of the song on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that it made it to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That was a whole year after its initial release.

La Roux is a duo that consists of vocalist Elly Jackson and producer Ben Langmaid. Their self-titled first album was a critical and commercial success. It won a Grammy Award for the team and produced this hit as well as "In for the Kill." The group's name is a play on Jackson's tomboyish appearance, combining the masculine (le roux) and feminine (la rousse) French terms.
