This tune sounds like something straight out of the sixties to me. That's totally a compliment by the way. I honestly haven't listened to much of anything else by the group, and I only found this song by using Shazam to discover the artist and song title.
The band was formed in New York, and were instrumental in the garage rock revival. They are one of the most prominent indie-rock groups of recent years. One of their more intersting accomplishments is having their critically acclaimed first album, Is This It, ranked 199 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
