I like Chicago's older stuff a lot more than I do their later stuff. I honestly don't dislike the first part of this "medley" (?) as much as a lot of people. The song isn't that bad, and it was a pretty big hit. I actually really enjoy the horns in the second part. It's a groovy little part they've got. Most top 40 radio stations didn't play the second half of the release, choosing to end the song before the beginning of "Get Away".
This song, and the album on which it was released, was the first to feature the band's new style. Many thought that the group had outlived their commercial lifespan. This new style was undertaken to try to bring a fresh feel to the group. They garnered many new fans, kept some old ones, but in the in the process, they lost interest from a large part of their original fan base.
