It has turned cold really quickly this year if you ask me. I'm really doing anything I can at this point to think warm thoughts, so, even though this song isn't really about a heat wave concerning the weather, it might still help a little. Think warm thoughts! It seemed to work for the guys in Grumpy Old Men (see below).
The song was originally recorded by Martha and the Vandellas and later, very popularly, by Linda Rondstadt. The song was made it to #28 for Martha and company, but Ronstadt's version took the cake at #5. I couldn't pass up the Collins version, though. I love the arrangement, and Collins's voice is perfect for it.
