Clear a Space - Lake Street Dive

It's not often that a group in a formation this simple can really hold my interest, but this one sure does. It's the simplicity of the music that really held me, while it was lead singer Rachel Price's voice that grabbed my attention. The song (as far as I can find) is an original written by the group. They have several covers posted on YouTube, and Price has several more on from her solo projects.

My favorite thing about this and most of the band's other videos is the simplicity that goes into the recording. The videos and audio are one-shots with the group performing in front of a couple of microphones. There's probably some mastering that goes on afterward, but you can't do a lot of editing with one or two tracks. That just means that what you hear is actually what they're performing. There should be more of that in the industry.
