I'm a big fan of the original version of this song, especially the guitar work, but wow, this cover is such a great twist on the tune. It makes me wonder if I'd like this as much if it was the original. How much of liking a cover is that it's different from what you're used to and how much is that you just like that version? I don't know that I'd ever put much thought into it before, but it's a valid question I think. Between the dropping of any guitar part at all, the addition of piano, and the subtle changes of the lyrics to make it a little more RnB than "hair ballad", this is a lot different than Extreme's version.

I've experienced exactly the thing this song is about. You can hear the words "I love you" a thousand times, but if you don't feel like the person is showing you the same thing they're telling you, it makes no difference at all. Love isn't really something you express through words, though people try and try again through poetry, song, prose and many other methods. You really have to show a person how you feel. So, if you've got that someone special, don't just tell them you love them, be sure to show it as often as you can.
