What Might Have Been - Little Texas

Theme: Power of Love

Sometimes tales of lost love are the most powerful ones. This was one of the group's biggest hits, reaching #2 on the country charts. It's proof how much one person's story of love can reach other people. If you're lucky, you've got something to look back on like this from your past, a time that was great when it happened, but something you know you'll probably never capture with that person again.

One of the hardest things you can ever encounter is walking away from a chance to recapture those moments because you know it would never work out for the best. Often times, good memories are best left as just that, memories. True to the song, you really "can't go back again", and no matter how much you want to speculate on how you think things would've turned out, you'll really never know.

Just like yesterday's post, the production value on this song is right on top of being perfect. Another of my favorite parts of this song are the vocals. Harmonies were one of the group's hallmarks, as was true with lots of contemporary country groups from the same time period.
