That's All - Ben Webster

I've gotten into the habit of listening to the Cool Jazz station on Pandora. I've found a lot of great music. This Webster track came up the other day, and it's exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to hear. There's this sort of smokey jazz sound of which I can't ever seem to get enough. This tune captures it. Particularly, the first couple of sax notes you here... There's just this tone in there that is so smooth and so dead on that you can't not dig it.

The song was recorded by Webster in 1953, just one year after it was written. It's been covered by everyone from Michael Bublé to Judy Garland to Ricky Nelson to Rod Stewart. It's included with other great standards in the Great American Songbook. I've heard some other versions, but this is my favorite.
