I know I've said it before, and I'll say it again: sometimes the right music with the right video makes you enjoy both the song and the images all the more. This video is one of those. I don't think that the video would be nearly as funny without the background song. On the same hand, I don't think I care for the song all that much, except where it's paired with the video.
The song was pretty popular overall when it was released in 1958. It was the last record to make the #1 spot on Billboard's Jockey chart and Top 100 chart. The week after "Patricia" topped both lists, they were discarded for the newly introduced Hot 100.
