Alright, a lot of people won't admit to buying this album, but that doesn't mean they didn't buy it. The album went Platinum...times six! That means a LOT of people bought this album. I was about twelve or thirteen when this movie and album hit. I remember the big hit from the movie, "I Believe I Can Fly", was on the radio EVERYWHERE. It played four or five times at every dance we had at school that year. This album was huge, and this song has a contagious groove, makes you want to bounce back and forth.
I haven't seen the movie in years, but I really remember enjoying it when I was younger. Even then, though, I was old enough to realize that the voices of a lot of the Looney Tunes characters weren't quite the same as they once were. Mel Blanc, who had originally voiced many...well, almost all of the characters at one point, passed away in 1989. His ability to create voices was ridiculous. Even though many of them only had the most subtle of differences from others, it's amazing that he could create them, and to me, it's even more amazing that he could remember them on cue. Here's an interview he did once with David Letterman that I found on YouTube a while back, and I enjoyed it immensely.
