Caillat has that same kind of singer-songwriter meets pop groove that I love in Jason Mraz's music. There's something about the way they combine the two genres that really works for me. It's laid back and easy going, but it's also uptempo and fun. She puts that spin on this Disney classic in a great way.
The song is of course originally from The Little Mermaid. Written by the Disney team of Alan Meinken and Howard Ashman, it was one in a long string of hits for the company. It was nominated for both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award, but it lost to another song from the same film, "Under the Sea".
